12U Baseball Team Get a Unique Donation-12 Piece Ebay Auction From Local Artist
A local 12U travel baseball team, raising money for uniforms and travel expenses, is looking for donations. I have offered to create 12 baseball card collecting boxes. The boxes will be auctioned one at a time. I'll release photos of new boxes after each previous auction ends. The first box can be seen on auction with Ebay .
There are twelve boxes in the series. Photo's of the next box for auction will be released after previous auction ends. The first box will be up for auction this Sunday @ 8:00 pm.
I'm looking for suggestions!
What strange or unique story do you have to tell about our countries favorite past-time. Baseball's obscure but true trivia, (you'll have to back it up)! What memory is so universal that seeing a representation of it would elicit joy, laughter, tears, etc. Finally, do you have any cool pictures or things you are willing to donate to the creation of the boxes? Memorabilia that would bring attention and validation to each piece? (Ex.-photos that can be emailed and printed very small, Baseball's top ten...ideas) email "ready to print" to-- kponder36@yahoo.com.
And, of course, I'm looking for bidders!
If you're thinking about taking advantage of the "buyers market" the economy is creating in collectibles. How about giving it to 12 American boys and their families instead of a corporation. Start with a box that is more than just a collector's item, it's a work of art.
If this auction succeeds, there will be a follow up series at a later date.
Pay It Forward,"

The greatest gift!
I have been collecting strange boxes for years. I also have over a dozen "collage boxes" filled with all these strange objects I have found, things that drew me to them, like a GI Joe boot I found on a walk, and a miniature (1/8") set of dentures on a necklace I found in the grass outfield at my son's ball practice. Paper and fabric with great texture, magazine cut outs, strange things that I was drawn to.
I want to share my love for aesthetics and the creative process through my boxes, each covered in memories and affirmations.
I can't imagine a better gift.
